Python Job: Inventory Analyst

An exciting opportunity to join the Forecast & Data Analytics team has become available within the National Supply Chain department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury, NSW. This is a permanent full-time role.

As an Analyst, you will be responsible for forecasting and analysing data for use across the Supply Chain department. This data will assist internal stakeholders in facilitating accurate insight and preparation across the wider business. The successful candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced FMCG environment, while possessing technical reporting and analytical abilities to improve Supply Chain data accessibility and support national forecasting activity.

Role Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver demand forecasts
• Conduct data cleansing and maintenance activities
• Develop processes and structure for automating data sourcing and reporting
• Visualise data by creating and maintaining meaningful reports and dashboards
• Consolidate multiple data sources and analysing patterns, trends, anomalies and root causes
• Identify opportunities for improvement within the entire supply chain and providing actionable insights

Selection Criteria:

• 3 years’ experience in Analytics with a Supply Chain, Logistics, FMCG or Retail background is highly desirable
• Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to apply time series forecasting, data mining and cleansing methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to apply analytical methods to supply chain challenges and objectives
• Advanced Excel and SQL proficiency
• Strong data visualisation experience, PowerBI or Python preferred
• Experience in SAP forecasting modules is desirable
• Strong communication skills and ability to relay analytical findings
